Updated: Lady Permanently Joins Houndward Bound :)

Lady is a beautiful, six year old, female beagle.  She is house trained and obeys commands readily. She knows sit, lie down, stay and come. Lady is a little overweight but loves her walks and is shaping up. She gets all squirmy and happy when you get her leash. Her stamina continues to grow and there’s nothing she loves more than a long wander through the park. Lady is a love bug, everyone who meets her comments on her charms.

Million Mutt March

Join citizens and dog lovers from around the world to march in solidarity against Breed Specific Legislation.
www.millionmuttmarch.com

Parking:
There is lots of paid parking at the University of Toronto across from Queen's Park.
Transit:
Get of at the Queen's Park Station

What to expect?
We will be meeting on the front lawn of Queen's Park at 1pm.
Once everyone has gathered we will start down University Ave and begin our march to Nathan Phillips Square (see map in photo's section)
Once at Nathan Phillips Square, we will gather around the speakers corner; a place built to promote freedom of speech in Toronto.

Nathan Phillips Square has great significance to this march and to our fight against BSL:
The arches over the reflecting pond/ice rink were officially named "Freedom Arches" in 1989.
A piece of the Berlin Wall lays flat at the base of the centre freedom arch on the south side. There is a plaque embedded in the piece that reads:
"Freedom Arches"
"The Citizens of Toronto dedicate these arches to the millions who struggled including Canadians, to gain and defend freedom and to the tens of millions who suffered and died for the lack of it. May all that we do be worthy of them.
Only in freedom can the Human Spirit soar."
"Against the Human drive for freedom nothing can long succeed"
This plaque is mounted on a slab of the Berlin Wall.
We are not only marching for the lives of our dogs. We are marching to demand our freedoms, which are rightfully and legally ours, be granted to us again.
